OUR STORY

NeuAbility, formerly known as Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project, was founded in 2007, to bridge the gap for post-acute rehabilitation services and exercise programs for those living with paralysis. NeuAbility’s beginnings consisted of staff members traveling by van with minimal equipment to participants’ homes to provide adaptive exercise programs. As demand for services grows, NeuAbility continues to develop programs and its facility to host specialized equipment to better serve the fitness and wellness goals of Colorado’s paralysis community.

Today, NeuAbility serves over 6,000 hours of adaptive movement-based sessions a year in a 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Denver.

Our Services

To maintain the lowest cost of services in the nation as a nonprofit, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap between program income and operation costs. There are many opportunities to support NeuAbility through our two annual fundraisers - Strive and Rounds.

Our Impact

NeuAbility strives to optimize the level of overall wellness for those impacted by a spinal cord injury, stroke, or any other form of paralysis through progressive, evidence-based adaptive rehabilitative exercise, alternative medicine practices and the cultivation of a robust community.
