Senior Adaptive Exercise Specialist & Program Director

Dane Stair was born and raised in southwestern Wisconsin. As a child, he was heavily involved in sports performance which eventually led to injuries that affected his athletic identity. Dane participated in Physical Therapy sessions and his experience led him down the path toward graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a major emphasis on Movement Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Throughout his time in school, he was able to participate in multiple programs that were designed to work on physical therapy for individuals with disabilities. Over time in this program he developed a passion for patient progression and holistic wellness regarding mobility, stability, and activity. In his free time, Dane’s hobbies include hiking, mountain biking, skiing, playing with his dog and working on home-improvement projects.

Daniel Wagner
Senior Adaptive Exercise Specialist

Daniel Wagner was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Dan graduated from New Mexico Highlands University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master’s Degree in Human Performance and Sport.

 

 

Daniel is well-versed in the field of fitness and exercise and has competed in numerous sports at the collegiate level. Daniel participates on the Denver Barbarians Rugby team, playing the position of second row lock. Daniel now looks to feed his passion of using exercise science to assist others improve their quality of life through the programs at NeuAbility.

Lindsey Lebel
Senior Adaptive Exercise Specialist

Lindsey Lebel was born in Littleton, Colorado and graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in Exercise Science. While getting her degree she started to teach yoga and realized the importance of not only physical health but mental health as well.

 

In her senior semester she interned at NeuAbility and was drawn to working with individuals with a wide range of abilities. Soon after, she worked at Craig Hospital for 3 years to continue her work in a Neuro setting. Once returning back to NeuAbility as a full time trainer, she feels like she has finally found her family. Lindsey loves working at NeuAbility because of the amazing community and energy that is alive in the gym.

 

In her free time Lindsey still teaches yoga, is a runner and enjoys spending time with her dog, Finley.

Tyler Hofferber
Lead Adaptive Exercise Specialist

Tyler Hofferber was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Tyler graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in Health & Exercise science with a concentration in Health Promotion. In his senior semester at Colorado State University, he completed his internship at NeuAbility where he ended up never leaving until he was hired as a trainer and the Rise & Walk specialist.

Tyler specializes in strength and conditioning as he grew up playing sports all his life where he competed in bodybuilding in high school and now is a competitive powerlifter for the USAPL. Tyler also is the head coach for the Colorado State University Barbell team as well as helping out with the Denver Barbarians wheelchair rugby team. Tyler his whole life has been passionate about helping others and making the lives around him better with lots of humor and terrible dad jokes.

Shaylee Befus
Adaptive Exercise Specialist

Shaylee Befus was born and raised in Brighton, Colorado. Her experiences with injuries early in her athletic career initiated her interest in utilizing exercise as medicine and also her path to medical school. She played beach volleyball at Jacksonville University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology while on the premed track. She continued to pursue these passions through a thesis-based Masters in Kinesiology and internships as a research assistant.

 

Shaylee started volunteering at NeuAbility to receive clinical care within a diverse patient population. She fell in love with both the community and the evidence-based practices used in sessions, prompting her commitment to a part-time position. Her hope is to continue to serve those at NeuAbility while using these experiences to inform the care and advocacy she plans to provide in her future endeavors as a physician. Shaylee also works as a youth beach volleyball coach and enjoys competing locally in her free time as well as strength training, spending time with family and pets, and reading.

Hanah Munger
Adaptive Exercise Specialist

Hanah is a Colorado native and grew up just down the road from NeuAbility in Thornton. She just recently graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s of science degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Health Promotion. In her last semester, she came to intern at NeuAbility and was offered a position to stay. Hanah absolutely loves the community that surrounds the gym and helping people improve their lives, it makes her feel like I am at home!

 

Throughout Hanah’s time at school, she worked in a physical therapy office for 2+ years and worked closely with the Temple Grandin Equine Center and their hippotherapy services. She has also worked with/had horses most of her life. Hanah’s ultimate goal is to combine her passion of horses and her new found love of the paralysis population into her own hippotherapy business. In Hanah’s spare time, she loves doing anything outdoors whether that be riding her horse, hiking with her dog, camping, or hunting. Hanah love learning new things and is always looking for a challenge!

A passionate advocate for holistic wellness, Charles utilizes his expertise in Massage Therapy to help clients achieve optimal physical and mental well-being. With over 20 years of experience, he’s honed his skills in both therapeutic and relaxing techniques.

Originally from Colorado, Charles’s personal journey of overcoming a mobility disability, and his experience as a personal assistant for people in wheelchairs have instilled in him a deep empathy and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with different abilities. This firsthand knowledge fuels his passion for empowering clients through education and personalized treatment plans, guiding them on their journey to recovery and improved quality of life.

In his free time, Charles enjoys going to hot springs, camping, yoga, biking, and just generally geeking out.

Gigi G
Acupuncturist

Gigi was a Certified Personal Trainer for 10 years, but began to realize that many of her clients were not getting the medical care they needed. She had been studying functional medicine on her own and decided to enroll at Colorado Chinese Medicine University to become an acupuncturist and herbalist. She studied Chinese herbal medicine concurrently with her mentor and graduated in August of 2022. She is also a licensed nutrition coach and provides insights into lifestyle, fitness, and psycho-emotional factors in order to help her patients make deep shifts in their health. Each patient, and each appointment is individualized to treat the root cause of a pathology.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, martial arts, mountain biking, seeking adventure in nature, and writing poetry.

Aimee G
Massage Therapist

Aimee Godin incorporates a fusion of Thai and Western massage techniques to help clients make long lasting changes to their bodies, including increased flexibility and range of motion. She’s a graduate of Denver Integrative Massage School and has been practicing for 10 years.

 

She adds in herbal medicine, cupping, heated compresses, energy work and homemade salves to increase health and healing. Aimee likes to spend her time in nature, with her daughter, gardening, and training Capoeira.

Christopher D
Chiropractor

Dr. Christopher Dorsa grew up in Nashville, Tennessee playing sports all year round. Through his favorite sports, Chris discovered more about physical therapy and chiropractic, and eventually realized that the preventative hands-on approach to healthcare was his passion and pursued a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer West in California. Dr. Dorsa’s style of treatment, which is different for each patient, translates to faster healing time and fixing the problem at the source rather than simply treating symptoms. Dr. Dorsa has extensive training in prenatal chiropractic, severe spinal cord injuries and paralysis, sports injuries, auto accident care, and overall wellness.

 

Outside of the office Dr. Dorsa has a large variety of hobbies. In the winter time you can find him in the mountains snowboarding and in the summer you may see him at the park getting upside down between hand balancing and acrobatics. Video and film work has been a new passion of his that started with his chiropractic.

Matthew G
Massage Therapist

Matt began his journey in massage therapy in 1987 working for a professional cycling team. After a hiatus away from massage therapy, he attained an Associates Degree from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and opened his own practice in 2001. He’s maintained a private practice since that time specializing in Sports, Orthopedic and Medical Massage. Matt works to empower his clients, educating them about the potential that lies within their own bodies, striving to unharness that potential to lead a fuller life. He has discovered that learning about the body and how massage therapy affects it through manual therapy is a never ending, wonderful educational experience.

 

He is married to his wife Pam, a retired educator and has a son Benjamin, who is a Paramedic. Matt and Pam enjoy various outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, backpacking and camping.

Sarah C
Acupuncturist

Sarah studied traditional Chinese medicine at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver where she earned a double masters in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Sarah is passionate about helping her patients achieve quality of life and wellness by addressing their goals at the root of the issue. She has taken specialty courses in musculoskeletal disorders, women’s health, and internal medicine which has provided her with an ability to treat the diversities of conditions that occur in the human body.

 

Outside of practicing Sarah enjoys everything this beautiful state has to offer including camping, hiking, and snowboarding. She also loves singing and performing in bands and choir.

Executive Director

Riley is a Colorado native, having grown up in the South Denver Metro area. She moved back to Denver after graduating from Oregon State University. She enjoys being outdoors hiking, kayaking, and camping and tries to stay active in her lifestyle. Because of her passion for nature, she studied Environmental Science and has a large interest in how things work around her- so she is always open to learning new things! She also values the importance of business and obtained a background in management as well. She is happy to be a part of a wellness community and she looks forward to working with the community more.

Office Manager

Kim Guiterrez grew up in California and Texas and moved to Denver in 2021 looking for a change. She enjoys being outdoors roller skating, hiking, and staying active. When Kim is not outside, she is practicing yoga, going to rock concerts, taking photos, and reading. Kim studied Microbiology and Public Health at the University of California Davis and enjoys learning about how the human body works.

Kim has a sister with Cerebral Palsy, which has opened her eyes to the importance of adaptive exercise. She is incredibly happy to be a part of NeuAbility’s community.
